Parcl Website Update: Top menu redesigned

A website’s header is like a car’s dashboard - if it’s not convenient, the driver is less likely to enjoy driving the car. So we figured we could improve our users’ experience by providing a fully-equipped, multifunctional, easy to navigate page menu. Besides offering more navigation options, the new menu let’s you see more important details at a glance, while before you had to look for those bits of info in different places.

The new design allows guest users to easily browse the website’s pages without the need to scroll down to the footer menu. One can simply hover the mouse over the ‘Support’ button to get access to the service description, most frequently asked questions or company contacts. We also added a drop-down menu with tips and a description for the ‘Sign up’ button. All this is meant to help our visitors decide what type of account works best for them.

The header menu has been significantly extended for registered users as well. Now shoppers and forwarders can see a brief summary of their orders by hovering the mouse over orders in a drop-down menu. Such visualization allows for quicker and easier navigation between orders.

Another great thing about the new menu is quick access to the Education Center. This section of the website contains useful documents created to help our users make the most out of Parcl.

Take a look at the My Account section of the menu. As you know, all registered users are required to provide basic account information.Shoppers need to specify their shipping address and are recommended to provide more details about themselves, while forwarders are required to fill in essential information, such as warehouse locations, countries they ship to and from, shipping methods they use, etc. We found that pages where users could specify all these details could be hard to find. This is why all account pages, such as Documents, My addresses/ My locations, Carriers, Shipping Destinations, Settings, and others can now be easily found in the new and improved ‘My account’ section.
