Service Update: Package tracking mechanism improved
Package tracking is critical for any package forwarding service. Proper package tracking mechanisms help not only to trace the parcel, but also to solve such issues as package loss or delays. We noticed that almost 5% of all delivery orders on Parcl appeared not to be completed just because the existing tracking mechanism wouldn’t notify our system that the package has been delivered. That’s why we decided to integrate our internal package tracking tool with the solution provided by AfterShip.com.
AfterShip allows to track packages shipped by more than 340 carriers worldwide. Once a forwarder provides a package tracking number, both the shopper and the forwarder will be able to trace the parcel and get timely delivery updates. Moreover, the integrated solution allows our moderators to see if a delivery attempt fails, in which case the shopper is contacted separately.
