We noticed that shoppers quite often experience the need to edit their orders after receiving delivery offers. When creating Parcl, we figured it made sense not to allow order editing when there were active offers submitted by forwarders for the order. It meant that to be able to edit their request, the shopper needed to decline all active offers first. However, as we analyzed user behavior, we saw that shoppers found it quite confusing. Instead of just declining offers and editing order info, they created new orders.
To avoid having duplicate orders in the system and to improve shopper experience, we have now made order editing available even when there are active offers pending. When a shopper confirms they need to edit their request, all active offers are automatically declined. Forwarders are sent a message to let them know that a need to edit was the reason for declining their offer.
We hope this feature makes it easier for shoppers to edit their orders, and they will use Parcl again and again to get items from foreign stores.
